So I'm helping a customer with his FreeBSD Unix box. The name of his machine is pong. That's pretty neat, I thought. A machine named after the Atari game.

First I needed to check connectivity to the machine. I used the ping command. The command I need to type?

ping pong

That's just wrong. :D

That's great! My iPod is Serenity. My new flash drive is Whedon. My hard drives were named by someone else when I lived somewhere with more computers. They are Fat Bottomed Girl (200GB) and Unloved Girl. Other hard drives in the house were Old Girl, New Girl, and Super Girl.

I will indeed be at OVGE this year. Although I'm not bringing the entire set like I did two years ago, I will be bringing a couple of my Altair 680s. I don't have a table or anything so the computers will be sitting in my hotel room.
